MALAYBALAY CITY (MindaNews / 5 June) – A low pressure area (LPA) will bring moderate to heavy rains over Caraga, Northern Mindanao and Davao regions, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Tuesday morning.
In its 4 am advisory, Pagasa said the LPA embedded in the Intertropical Convergent Zone (ITCZ) was spotted 795 km east of Surigao City.
The ITCZ will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.
As of 8 am on Tuesday, some residents of Cagayan de Oro City in Northern Mindanao posted on social media that portions of the highway in Barangay Kauswagan were already flooded. (MindaNews)
