DAVAO CITY (MindaNews/ 22 Oct) – A Muslim who graduated summa cum laude from Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology topped the metallurgical engineer licensure examination given last October 16, the Professional Regulation Commission announced Friday.
Engineer Dahr Tur M. Silao obtained a rating of 88.60%.
Second placer Charmaine Rainog Pangilinan of UP-Diliman got a rating of 84% while Hans Dominic Aldaba Angelo of the same school obtained 83.95% to place third.
The 4th, 5th, 7th, 9th and 10th places went to MSU-IIT graduates – Angelica Barrios Alviso (83.55%), Glide Manzano Espina (83.40%), Jerald Mark Maregmen Gestupa (83.15%), Aljon Rey Alejandre Lagayada (82.30%), and Yanno-Ray Montecillo Cahiles (81.60%).
The 6th and 8th spots went to examinees from UP-Diliman – Chari Kaye Abuyan Caja (83.30%) and Gabriel Sebastian Camacho Dimasin (82.80%).
Aside from MSU-IIT and UP-Diliman, only one other school, Mapua University in Manila, is offering a course in metallurgical engineering. (MindaNews)
