COTABATO CITY (MindaNews/ 26 November) – Agriculture Undersecretary Bai Ranibai Dilangalen today filed her substitute certificate of candidacy (COC) as representative of the first district of Maguindanao, which includes Cotabato City.
Dilangalen, a lawyer, filed her substitute COC at the office of Maguindanao election supervisor Atty. Paisalin Tago.
The DA official replaced the candidacy of her aunt, Bai Rebecca Dilangalen Alamada Buan.
Dilangalen is running under the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas.
She believed the party objectives and advocacies will carry her to the House.
In a brief interview, Dilangalen said she is prepared to “break the norms” in Maguindanao where some politicians hold “command votes” in their respective localities.
She said she holds the edge as the only female candidate among the four contenders to the post.
She said voters should do away with traditional ways of choosing leaders.
Aside from Dilangalen, also seeking the post are former Cotabato City mayor Muslimin Sema, ARMM Regional Assembly Speaker Ronnie Sinsuat Sr. and Jam Dumama, nephew of Cotabato City Mayor Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi.
The post will be vacated by Rep. Bai Sandra Sema who is seeking the mayorship of Cotabato City. (Ferdinandh Cabrera/MindaNews)
