Now on its 17th edition, the TAYO Awards, which is administered by the TAYO Awards Foundation, Inc., recognizes and supports the outstanding contributions of youth organizations in the country.
For this year, 20 finalists were selected, five each from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao and the National Capital Region.
They were chosen from over 300 entries nationwide.
The finalists from Mindanao are the Kilusan ng Kabataan Para sa Kalikasan from Bongao, Tawi-tawi (Kahapon ma Kawman project); Peace Crops from Cagayan de Oro City (Peace Crops); Peace Creed from Aleosan, North Cotabato (KAPEyapaan); Sugpat from Zamboanga City (Alternative School for Peacebuilding & Arts – ALSPA); and Super Lumba from Marawi City, Lanao del Sur (Palapa sa Lumba).
