Woman with PhP 1.2M worth of shabu nabbed in mall buy bust in Davao City

DAVAO CITY (MindaNews / 30 January) — Police authorities arrested a 50-year old woman in possession of shabu weighing 75 grams worth P1.2 million during a buy-bust operation in NCCC Mall VP  Plaza here on Thursday.

In a report released by Davao City Police Office, the suspect, identified as Linda “Maymay” G. Ledres, a resident of Purok Santol, La Filipina in Tagum City, was arrested by the personnel of Bunawan Police Station under PMaj. Noel B. Villahermosa.

The suspect sold to an agent who acted as a buyer a five-gram shabu worth P80,000.

Recovered from her possession were 14 pieces of fake P1,000 bills, one Cherry Mobile phone used in the transaction, 16 sachets of shabu weighing 75 grams worth P1.2 million, and other shabu paraphernalia.

The suspect has been placed under the custody of the police. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act will be filed against her. (Antonio L. Colina IV / MindaNews)
