GENERAL SANTOS CITY (MindaNews / 19 Feb) – Police arrested two target-listed drug personalities and recovered over P200,000 worth of suspected shabu in an operation in Koronadal City on Tuesday night.
Lt. Col. Joefel Siason, Koronadal City police chief, said Wednesday suspects Samrudin Kampang alias “Mokong,” 25, and Cezar Sacramento Jr. alias “Jun-Jun,” 24, were nabbed in an entrapment around 10:35 p.m. in Purok Pinagbuklod, Barangay Zone 4.
He said an undercover operative from the city police drug enforcement unit was able to purchase a sachet of suspected shabu worth P500 from the two suspects.
Siason said the two yielded in a subsequent search a gold pouch bag containing seven “big” sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 33 grams and with an estimated street value of P224,000.
“They were under close surveillance by our unit for several weeks and we finally got them last night,” he told reporters.
The police official said the suspects were included in the target list of the city police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
He said they sent the recovered evidences to the regional police crime laboratory for confirmation.
The two, who were detained at the Koronadal City police station lockup, will be charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11 or selling and possession of dangerous drugs, under Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MindaNews)
